Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Paro
Welcome to Bhutan! Upon arrival at Paro International Airport (2,280m), you'll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, visit Paro Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery overlooking the valley. Take a leisurely walk across the traditional wooden cantilever bridge. In the evening, explore Paro town to acclimate to the altitude. O/N at Hotel in Paro.

Day 2: Paro to Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu (1.5 hours), Bhutan's capital city nestled in a scenic valley. Visit the towering Buddha Dordenma statue (51.5 meters) for panoramic valley views. Explore the Memorial Chorten, where locals continuously circumambulate while spinning prayer wheels. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum and, if time permits, the National Textile Museum showcasing Bhutan's rich weaving tradition. O/N at Hotel in Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha
Journey to Punakha (3 hours), crossing the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100m) adorned with 108 memorial chortens. On clear days, enjoy magnificent Himalayan views. Visit Punakha Dzong, Bhutan's most beautiful fortress at the confluence of two rivers. Day 4: Punakha to Trongsa
Drive to Trongsa (approximately 5 hours), passing through dramatic mountain passes and stopping at the imposing Trongsa Dzong, an architectural marvel built in 1648 that once controlled east-west trade routes. Explore the Tower of Trongsa museum. O/N at Hotel in Trongsa.

Day 5: Trongsa to Bumthang
Drive to Bumthang via Yotong La pass (3,425m). Visit Jambay Lhakhang and Kurje Lhakhang, two of Bhutan's most sacred monasteries. Explore Bumthang's spiritual heritage. O/N at Hotel in Bumthang.

Day 6: Bumthang to Gangtey
Continue east to Gangtey (approximately 6 hours). Visit Gangtey Monastery and walk the Gangtey Nature Trail with stunning valley views. Explore the Phobji Valley, home to the stunning Phobji Lake with its clear blue waters. O/N at Hotel in Gangtey.

Day 7: Gangtey to Tashigang
Journey to Tashigang (4 hours), a hidden valley where Buddhist monasteries blend with traditional agricultural practices. Visit Tashigang Dzong and explore the surrounding countryside. Experience the peaceful atmosphere of this remote region. O/N at Hotel in Tashigang.

Day 8: Tashigang Exploration
Full day in Tashigang. Visit the ancient monastery of Tashigang Dzong, hike to the nearby Dungphug Lhakhang temple, and explore traditional villages where you can learn about local crafts. Enjoy the stunning natural beauty of the region. O/N at Hotel in Tashigang.

Day 9: Tashigang to Paro
Begin the return journey west, crossing dramatic mountain passes and descending through picturesque valleys. Stop at viewpoints for photos and tea breaks. Arrive in Paro by late afternoon and relax at your hotel. O/N at Hotel in Paro.

Day 10: Departure from Paro
After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey. Your guide will assist with departure formalities, bidding you farewell with memories of Bhutan's western highlands and stunning landscapes.
